Apple Watch + SKYNA — Health, Sleep, HRV & Recovery Dashboard

HRV, sleep, heart rate, active calories and workouts from Apple Watch side-by-side with Oura, Garmin and Whoop. Health and recovery on SKYNA Pulse.

Setup

  1. Download SKYNA on your iPhone

Free on the App Store. Apple Health integration is iOS-only. You'll need an iPhone paired with your Apple Watch.

  2. Open Settings → Connected Apps

    Tap 'Connect Apple Health.'

  3. Authorize the health categories

iOS shows a native permission sheet listing every data type SKYNA reads. We recommend 'Turn All On' so your full Apple Watch picture lands in SKYNA.

  4. Your data syncs automatically

SKYNA pulls the last 30 days right after connection. New samples push to SKYNA in the background as your Apple Watch syncs, no manual refresh.

FAQ

Which Apple Watch models work?
Every Apple Watch model that syncs to iOS HealthKit, Series 4 through Series 10, SE (1st + 2nd gen), and Ultra / Ultra 2. Newer models surface more data types (wrist temp on Series 8+, ECG on Series 4+, etc.) but every model contributes what it measures.
Does this work on Android?
Not for Apple Watch, Apple HealthKit is iOS-only. If you wear an Apple Watch but use an Android phone, you'd need to switch your primary phone to iPhone to use this integration. Other wearables like Garmin, Oura, Whoop work cross-platform via SKYNA on Android.
Will SKYNA combine my Apple Watch HRV with my Oura HRV?
Never. Apple measures HRV as SDNN; Oura measures it as RMSSD, different metrics from the same physiological signal. SKYNA shows both with their own labels so you read the differences yourself.
How fresh is the data?
Apple Watch syncs to your iPhone every few minutes when within Bluetooth range. SKYNA picks up new samples in the background, typically you see data in your Pulse dashboard within minutes of your Apple Watch recording it.
Do I need to keep the Apple Health app open?
No, Apple Health is the iOS system service that runs in the background. As long as your Apple Watch syncs to your iPhone, SKYNA gets your data.
Is it free?
Yes, connect Apple Health to SKYNA at no cost. Premium Spotter features are a subscription, but the connection itself is free.
